It added modern look to my family room. The fact that the top is not black did not bother me cause the mirror design alowed me to see different dimentions, and reflect the colors of the room, for example I have an light espresso color wall against it and it is reflected on my philips unit which makes it blend-in perfectly in any room. The sound is clear and crisp. I placed the subwoofer on the floor, under the lowest self, this way I get all the BASS in an invisible way. I love it. After all if I wanted a louder "professional party sound" I have to get one of those huge speakers and other huge equipment. The romote is extremely helful and has a sleek look.
